WHAT IS HOJICHA POWDER 
Hojicha is premium quality Japanese green tea that is roasted in the final stage of its preparation and has a burnt odour and taste. This roasting process at high temperatures gives the tea leaves a distinctive reddish-brown color and imparts a nutty, caramel-like flavor with a hint of smokiness. Unlike traditional matcha, which is made from unroasted green tea leaves, Hojicha has a much lower caffeine content, making it a popular choice for evening tea or for those sensitive to caffeine. Our Organic Hojicha has been produced according to the strict guidelines of the JAS (Japan Agricultural Standard) and is certified organic.

INFORMATION
• Hojicha powder is insoluble in water. There are some Hojicha products which are soluble in water, such products are treated with Dextrine, an additive to make the powder dissolve in water. Being genuinely ORGANIC, we DO NOT add any additives, artificial coloring, preservatives. 100% natural. 
• We strongly recommend ORGANIC, because you are consuming the whole leaf, so you would not want any chemicals such as synthetic fertilizers or pesticides in your body.
• Organic Hojicha tends to be a little less vibrant in color, due to the fertilizer used. Chemical fertilizers are more potent as they perform much faster to pump the plants full of nutrients, while ORGANIC fertilizers take months. The flavor and color of Organic Hojicha is slightly altered because organic fertilizers do not have the “instant effect” that chemical fertilizers have. So we do not compare the color between Organic and Non-Organic Hojicha.
