• Houjicha is a classic Japanese green tea crafted by carefully roasting Bancha leaves at elevated temperatures. This roasting transforms the leaves into a warm amber-brown hue and produces a comforting aroma reminiscent of freshly brewed coffee. The high-heat roasting significantly reduces the tea’s caffeine content, resulting in a brew that is rich in antioxidants yet naturally low in caffeine.Unlike typical Bancha, which is often produced from large, fully matured leaves that are too coarse to undergo rolling, our Bancha is harvested earlier, while the leaves remain supple enough for light rolling. This allows the natural qualities of the tea to be gently retained within the leaf structure. Using this carefully selected Organic Bancha, our Organic Houjicha offers a level of refinement rarely found in modern organic varieties. Suitable for enjoyment throughout the day, it is especially satisfying after meals or in the evening as a soothing, relaxing tea.• We use biodegradable tea bags and there are 3g of tea leaves in each bag (Total 10 tea bags)
